a Panel of nine bw fibre based photographic prints, 150cm x 150cm
shot and developed in-situ using a hand built lensless camera and domestic developer.
the project emerged through documentation and research during the weight of mountains residency, Moroccan, western Sahara, 2015.
The subject originating from a series of walks and site visits over the course of one month, documenting a process of decay. images show the remains of a dromedary camel (Ships of the Moroccan Desert). later to be formed into a multi panel photographic piece, presenting the various bodily aspects of desert desiccation.
each photograph within the panel of nine reflects both the effects of hard sun and shifting sands upon this dead body. becoming a meditation on the life/death and emergent regeneration/transformation cycle.
