CIRcle ADAPTED/ POLAROIDS
Polaroids series, begun after being gifted a reconditioned polaroid sx-70.
This is an ongoing and annual project. each image loosely relating too or representing an adjunct/ INTERPRETATION of individual, contemporary Chinese zodiac animals.
Appearing between the 21st January to the 20th February the Chinese new year marks a start of the new lunar year cycle.
the full assembly of zodiac animals has a long tradition in art. for example, ai weiWei’s, circle of animals / zodiac heads from 2010. that, in itself references a historic centre piece, that of a fountain clock from the Qing dynasty.
Completion of this work due 2030.
